Axis Point Design is a design service company serving the biotech and pharmaceutical industry. Axis Point Design was founded in 2003 on the principal of providing innovative facility, piping, process, module/skid design services helping to reduce both project cost and schedule. Axis Point Design is a \\\\\\\"start to finish\\\\\\\" design service provider. Assisting in early project concept layouts and estimates, detailed design activities, multi-discipline coordination checks and following design through construction with on-site support and drawing as-builts. Axis Point Design is an industry leader in the use of 3D facility and piping software and \\\\\\\"Intelligent P&id\\\\\\\" software to streamline project schedules and piping fabrication.
Axis Point Design has completed projects throughout the United States and Asia. We believe in using innovative meeting, design review, and file sharing tools to support projects at any geographic location.
Philosophy
Axis Point Design believes strongly in taking ownership of it\\\\\\\'s designs and seeing them through construction completion. Developing clear and concise construction documents is our passion. Our designs will be checked and coordinated completely with other disciplines. We believe our approach will benefit clients with reduced construction costs and schedules.
Axis Point Design will work independently on small to medium size projects and assist/partner with other design/engineering firms to complete larger projects.

- Intelligent P&id\\\\\\\'s
- Intelligent P&id\\\\\\\'s with \\\\\\\"live\\\\\\\" database for line list, valve list, instrument list and equipment list extraction. Eliminating the need to manually create these lists.
- Facility Layouts
- Early development of Facility Layouts to help develop project scope and cost.
- P&id Piping Review
- Review of P&id\\\\\\\'s from a piping prospective, (specs., utility isolation, drainability, min. distance valves, etc.).
- Utility Distribution
- Develop piping transposition layouts to help create utility distribution P&id\\\\\\\'s and pipe sizing.
- Vessel Nozzle Layout
- 3D model vessels and local piping after p&id development to assist client and vessel vendor in locating nozzles at an optimum location.
- Vendor Dwg Review
- Equipment vendor submittals can quickly be reviewed against nozzle orientation layouts previously developed.
- Pipe Spec. Review
- Assistance in developing new piping specifications or reviewing existing.
- 3D Modeling
- 3D modeling is quick and gives a more complete, \\\\\\\"clash-free\\\\\\\", design and also serves as an excellent construction aid.
- 3D Model Review
- Client can \\\\\\\"walk through\\\\\\\" model and view design from all angles. This can expedite the design review process.
- 3D M.E.P. Coordination
- 3rd party M.E.P. coordinated 3D model with clash check.
- Orthographic Dwgs.
- Orthographic plans, sections and iso arrangements can quickly be cut from the 3D model.
- Piping Bill of Matl.
- Piping bill of material can be extracted upon 3D model completion to expedite material purchase prior to orthographic and isometric drawings being completed.
- Piping Fab Isometrics
- Piping fabrication isometrics can quickly be extracted from 3D model.
- Module/Skid Design
- 3D design of equipment modules and skids to be fabricated at vendor shops.
